I have just come back from an amazing workshop with Linda Johnstone in Coventry. This was an event organised by the Guild of Photographers whereby several workshops covering all forms of photography took place. My workshop was working with dogs and studio lighting. I am so inspired since doing this. I have always felt that dogs should be photographed in the outdoors running and playing and doing what dogs do best, but since doing this workshop I feel that indoor studio photography also has its place. It could be for a puppy who is not allowed out yet, or an elderly dog who is more comfortable in his or her own home. Studio lighting can enhance the dog's fur plus it also gives the opportunity of making very moody images with the use of studio lights. Feeling very inspired to try out some of these new techniques!
